Rountree Group

Neva Rountree – Founder

Since founding Rountree Group in 1985, Neva continues to counsel clients on program strategy, creative direction and expectations. She specializes in corporate awareness programs, product/service introductions and marketing communications. She remains a “big idea” person who brings imaginative, effective counsel and impactful programs to agency clients.

In its first 10 years, the agency twice earned the PR industry’s most prestigious award: the PRSA’s Silver Anvil, considered the “Oscar” of the industry. In addition, Neva has twice been cited as the “best marketing-driven public relations professional” by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. She also has been profiled in the Public Relations Journal as the founder of one of the country’s six most outstanding newer public relations agencies, and earned the firm the distinction as one of the “25 Hot Smaller Agencies,” according to inside PR.

Prior to starting Rountree Group, Neva served as vice president at one of the world’s largest public relations agencies, where she led national and regional accounts. She also spent time in the political arena as a press secretary for a U.S. senator from Georgia.

She has served as president of the Public Relations Society of America/Georgia as well as IPREX, a worldwide consortium of independent public relations companies. She remains active in many civic and charitable organizations, including the advisory board of The University of Georgia College of Journalism, where she earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees, with an emphasis on public relations and advertising.

Neva was the first woman president of the University of Georgia Journalism Alumni Association, served on the communications committee for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games and co-founded Leadership Sandy Springs.
