The agency recognized that the company’s growing proprietary database of language use information, based on its clients’ daily needs, presented the opportunity for the company to be presented as an expert and valued source on this subject. We worked with a leading research company to develop a baseline qualitative report about language use and trends in health care. This was followed by biannual reports by the agency that capture trends and changes in language diversity, as well as geographic shifts in language needs, utilizing the company’s qualitative proprietary data. This “expert source” information was used in various ways such as presentations at national and regional conferences, e-newsletter substance, in brochures and extensively on a continuous basis for proactive media outreach.
